Meet Todd
As Chief Risk Officer, Todd drives Johnson Financial Group’s strong, proactive risk culture by leading the overall direction and strategy of the company’s risk management program. He oversees enterprise risk management, compliance, corporate security, loan review, information security, and business continuity. He is also the primary liaison to State and Federal regulators. Through collaboration with his internal business partners, Todd continually monitors major risk issues and delivers counsel to business unit managers on risk topics and challenges. He also provides strategic and tactical leadership to evaluate new projects, products, and initiatives. Todd’s analytical nature and extensive background in audit enable him to address challenges, understand processes and implement appropriate solutions.
Professional Qualifications
- 35 years in the banking industry including his role as Chief Audit Executive for Johnson Financial Group and 25 years in Internal Audit
- Assumed the role of Johnson Financial Group’s first Chief Risk Officer in 2013, establishing the company’s Enterprise Risk Management function
- Enhanced and built out Johnson Financial Group’s Corporate Security function
- Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University; Certified Fraud Examiner; Certified Bank Auditor; Certified in Risk Management Assurance
Community Involvement
- Formerly served on the American Bankers’ Association Professional Development Council
- Active volunteer at Kenosha Bible Church (Serves on the Investment Advisory Team, Audit Team, and volunteers with pre-K children)
- 20 years coaching baseball at multiple levels including Little League (8-12 year olds) and Kiwanis (13-18 year olds)
- Statistician for High School basketball (and previously football) at Kenosha Christian Life
- Volunteer with Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption (FRUA)
- Formerly served on the Board for the Wisconsin Bankers Association Security and Internal Audit Schools
